The one I use most is my bell - they put their hands on their shoulders and eyes on me. I also use songs for transitions - when the song comes on, their voice goes off and the goal is for them to be cleaned up and ready for the next activity at the end of the song. I also say in increasingly quiet voice "if you can hear me touch your ____ (fill in blank), if you can hear me touch your ____" etc. Usually they're ready by the 3rd body part.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03151821669927332724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1640884830731263966.post-34499008121410250862014-02-24T10:03:23.501-08:002014-02-24T10:03:23.501-08:00Hello! It’s fun to see teachers exploring new methods to motivate their students, especially in the subject of math. Many teachers are looking for fun, familiar games that keep kids interested in math this time of year. The Tic Tac Math family of games for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch are great for this. I would love for you to take a look at the games here and let us know what you think:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/ipmg-publishing/id356838921

IPMG Publishing participates in the Apple Educational Discount Program. If you have an iPad program or a ‘suggested apps for parents’ program, it would be wonderful if you would consider including Tic Tac Math.

Thank you so much for all that you do for kids and for considering our apps!

Anne
anne@iplaymathgames.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09679240207193028324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1640884830731263966.post-76534184774214388862014-02-24T07:01:16.621-08:002014-02-24T07:01:16.621-08:00I start counting back from 5 and when I get to 0 t...I start counting back from 5 and when I get to 0 they need to be where they are supposed to be and sitting quietly, or else they have to move their clip down.
